Good Afternoon, Everyone,
Thank you for your support of our recent Pantry Drive and Quarters for Turkeys. Both fundraisers benefit the Lassiter Pantry, which support some of our families. We filled over 90 bins and collected 4,440 items. We are also helping a number of children in need this holiday season in several ways and would like to share that information with you. It is very similar to what we have done in the past. ~Davis Holiday Outreach: We are helping some Davis families who are stretched financially and are grateful for assistance so that their children will receive some holiday gifts. Their identity is confidential so their families are assigned a letter and their children a number – for example, Family A, Child 1. This information was sent out before the Thanksgiving break through the PTA room mothers. The Thankful Grams and Bake sale helped support this effort. If you are interested in helping, there may be a few needs left. Use the link below and it will take you to the wish list page for families. www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0B4AACAE2FAA8-davis ~The Giving Tree: I have attached the letter that went home last Thursday for your reference. We are helping Birney Elementary, our Sister School and SafePath, a group that helps foster children. Students need to bring the permission slip (from the attached letter) to select a snowman wish. We are keeping a log in the office to help with the organization. The children replace the snowman on the tree with a snowflake with their name. We are placing the snowman wishes for specific children first to make sure we have those covered. We will then put more generic wishes on the tree. Thank you to Barbara and Connie for all their extra help with this worthy cause. If you have any questions, feel free to ask one of us. Best, Kathy and Alison School Counselors
